DR. James H. Yim

Dr. James Yim received his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Toronto. After 6 years as a General Dental Officer in the Canadian Forces, he was selected for Postgraduate training. He completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. 

James practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including wisdom teeth, dental implants and orthognathic surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as well as holds membership in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Canadian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association.  

James is a retired Canadian Armed Forces Major. Prior to joining the Kingston practice in 2015, he was the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Canadian Forces Garrison Petawawa. He enjoys spending time with family as well as in the great outdoors that the Kingston area has to offer. He is committed to volunteer mission work, having participated in medical humanitarian missions to Peru and Nicaragua.
