Dr. Terry Ratkowski was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario.  He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario in 1990.  He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Alberta in 1994.  His keen interest in the surgical aspects of dentistry led him to complete his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the U.S. Army Medical Department, at Womack Army Medical Center, in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2006.

Terry recently completed 21 years of service with the Canadian Forces.  He has served overseas on three separate occasions including East Timor and most recently in Kandahar, Afghanistan.  He retired from the Canadian Forces in 2011 and now resides in , Ontario.  Terry and his family are grateful to be a part of the greater community that exists within the region.

All aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are important to Terry with special emphasis placed upon orthognathic surgery, dental implants, wisdom teeth, reconstruction and trauma. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.  He is an active member of the local dental societies including; the and District Dental Society and the Bay of Quinte Dental Society.

Spending time with his wife and two children is one of Terry’s most enjoyable interests.  He enjoys music and has recently started to learn how to play the guitar.  He likes outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing and camping.  Terry looks forward to meeting and treating all patients referred to Centennial Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
